i love this song so much
To my fellow Vets. Isn't it strange how your ordnance and weapons become lighter in weight during a firefight?
When they had night action, they couldn't see anything. The problem is, neither could the viewers. The screen was literally black. :D
I just now notice this. A Marine Captain using a M1 Carbine?
I can’t imagine being in the belly of hell like that!!!!
Man there's some dumb comments here. As a warning if you actually like history and don't want to have a dumb toxic debate, it's best to avoid this comment section.
Cool!!! ❤🎉😊
i can see why this series lost money compared to band of brothers
Pause at 1:20 A single soldier at the top right of the screen on the left side of the boulder. Another single soldier diagonally down and left next to the thick tree branch just above the small clearing. 2 man team down and slightly to the right of the that same clearing behind some rocks. Directly left and down of that position there's a wall of sandbags with a 3 man team of soldiers in that square light area. Keep following that same line of sandbags to the left is a bunker.
It was a very honorabor attack.
For what it's worth, the Japanese did not use "wave tactics". Their assaults and attacks on Marine positions on Guadalcanal where textbook infantry operations. The problem was the Japanese commanders had a horrifyingly bad accounting of the Marine strength. They where constantly outnumbered, with incorrect intelligence. By the time they figured out how strong the Marine presence was, they'd lost the ability to hold.
1:08 That's the coolest looking shot I've ever seen
My great uncle was fighting in Burma, out of all the family that went thorugh the war, he was the only one that came back with an unending hatred of the enemy.
WW II US Marines. Best infantry force of the 20th century! No one else compares!
some might call the japanese tenacity in their attacks and their unwillingness to surrender in defeat as "courage" and honor. But they were nothing more than brainwashed fools who had nothing but contempt for their enemy. They were brutally abused in the military academies, so they brutally abused anyone who they had the chance to. From chinese civilians to captured POW's from the US or europe. Gladly for the world, they just couldn't keep up and they were exterminated from every corner they invaded. Nothing is scarier than a nightime attack on a position with no clear line of sight, were the enemy just keeps coming. The fear of being sorrounded must have been bone -chilling
I wanna listen one more time tonight!
The fact that some people think this is Kygo already proves music making is partially just marketing. Your name needs to be known haha
Reading "Voices of the Pacific" by Adam Makos. They did a really nice job making this scene. As described by the Devil Dogs that went through that hell.
Super Musik zum Entspannen
Kygo la mejor ❤🇦🇷
I remember my great uncle telling me about this battle as a kid, he said they didn’t stop shooting even as their barrels glowed white. Was a hell of a first engagement
Nici🎉
this was one of the first battels the Japanese lost and they had not lost a battle in 100 years, they thought the whole thing was some kind of mistake.
Muchas gracias
Kygo style tropical music ❤️❤️✍️
This is soo good what the hell😭
I can't stop listening! It's super cool ! This is what i like😂
Wow ! This music make me dance alone !!❤
Over 200 dead on the sandbar when the sun rose...that's determination from both sides of the fight.
I’m so interested in these short clips so I get annoyed when it’s over, but for some reason I just don’t want to watch the actual show 😂
Ah yes the battle of alligator creek. About 800-900 Imperial Japanese soldier under Kiyonao Ichiki was killed and about 15-20 captured. Onky abiut 45 marines was lost. The first 2 waves was focued on crossing the river at the sandbar but at the mouth but the Americans had barbwire defences set up. A 3rd wave was of Ichiki's best elites and they moved around into the surf away around the barbwire barricades to try and flank the marines. Which they was all repelled. In the morning the Americans counter attacked by crossing up stream and circling around the Japanese while M3 Stuarts tanks crossed over the sandbar encircling the Japanese and completely wiping the out the Japanese. It was all due to Ichiki not withdrawing and retreating out of there. It cost him his entire division and his own life.
In the series they actually underplayed how brutal the battle was. Understandably for budget reasons. As the night battle continued into the morning, it became clear that, thanks to Commander Ichiki's blunder and some clever flanking by the Marines, the Japs were literally corralled into nice clear circle. So as day broke, airplanes from the captured airfield came in strafing and bombing them. After that hell, a platoon of M3 Stuart tanks rolled in to finish the job. Anything still alive was either blasted apart or run over with tank treads. It was so bad one after action account talks about how the backs of the Stuarts looking like a bloody woodchipper.
Ma ttotto😊😢😅😮😂😊
Kygo forever my Hart i love you music tropical in Brazil ❤❤❤❤

Used to listen to this during online school in early 2021. Brings back memories
Fun Fact:Al Scmid was a loader in one of the many machine gun nests but their gunner was killed so another guy replaced him but soon blasted off by a grenade and his hands were injured so he Al took the machine gun but not long after he got blasted with a grenade too and got blinded so he grabbed his pistol at the read to shoot any Japanese that comes into the foxhole but he continued to shoot the machine gun cutting down Japanese soldiers while blind
Sheesh man, google commas and periods. Youll be amazed
Falling back was a great decision, they moved way to many Marines forward to recon In The first place they should have sent 1 guy, first positive I'd on heavy gun emplacements they should have called in airstrikes or naval gunfire.
LOVE IT
love your music I look for new updates all the time never stop
